This event involved providing sellout support and branding for Pagan and McQuade opticians at their ‘Oakley takeover day’.

The takeover involves removing all other brands from the practice and re-stocking with all current samples from the range.

The bank holiday weekend date chosen, combined with good weather and practice location on a central shopping precinct along with good pre event marketing provided steady foot traffic through the day as well as the customers who had RSVP’d to the email campaign pre event.

The practice did an excellent job before the event pushing on social media, mailing lists and physically instore, this ensured a great turnout and extremely high conversion on the day.

The demographic of the area being lower income and generally older than other locations where previous open days have been held did have an effect on the amount of sellout throughout the day, but not nearly as much as expected

Interest in sun and clear was well balanced throughout the day, but was heavily biased towards RX. All prescription jobs dispensed (clear and sun) used OAP.

The day yielded £6.900 in total sellout which (TBC) was a record day for the practice.
