Details:
Specialized turbo bike is an end consumer E-Bike demo day, where enduro and downhill mountain bikers are welcomed to Glencullen adventure park in Dublin and offered a chance to demo the current range of bikes and Oakley eyewear.
The set up was simple and effective comprising of 1x tent, 1x demo tables, 3x flags 1xbanner. As well as a wide range of bike specific eyewear was on display and available for demo throughout the day.
The weather was extremely hot and clear during the event which gave a good opportunity for consumers to come and try a verity of different lenses for the woods and open air sections of the trails.
The setup location next to the bike rental office and the café worked well as it one of the main routes for riding through the demo site and accessing the trails . Having an A board with ‘demo center’ nearer to the entrance would likely have driven some more foot traffic to the stand.
A visit from local hero and Oakley athlete Ronan Dunne, recently back from placing 8th at the downhill world championships in Les Gets and training at G.A.P. Drew a good crowd and generated a good atmosphere, as well as having the added utility of drawing people to the demo site who otherwise may not have been made there way there.
Goggle demos should be considered for the next event at the gap as they offer and uplift service therefore there was a high proportion of riders on long travel bikes and wearing full face helmets where goggles may have been more relevant to demo than eyewear
