SLIDE is the annual, 3 day UK snowsports industry tradeshow where all brands come together at the Telford Exhibition Centre to expo new products and conduct sales meetings to book pre orders for their customers for the coming winter season.

The trade show setup itself looked extremely premium, one of the best at the show, it allowed for clear segmentation and display of products, both hardware and apparel. The product flow worked really well at guiding customers through the range in a methodical and efficient way.

The setup stood out due to size and lighting and felt spacious and airy. Less mannequins than last year created a more open plan feel and made it easy for people to float on and off the stand and overall more welcoming, less boxed in feel. Which had the knock on effect of people browsing longer and exploring categories they otherwise might not of considered.

Appointments with the sales reps for existing customers were booked in advance for the duration of the event which ensured a steady flow of customers and consistent buzz to the stand at all times.

Having both the sales reps and tech reps working together ensured all the appointments ran smoothly and to schedule as well as being able to accommodate walk on potential customers and provide relevant information on the brand and products.

The new helmet : MOD BC, goggle: LINE MINER PRO and lens : PRIZM ICED were all received well by the majority of customers and were also acknowledged by a number of other brands.

This was the first year Bliz was presented to the UK snowsports market, and was overall very well received with the support of the Bliz team

Bliz being displayed independently but alongside Oakley allowed for a good amount of cross selling and generated a good number of visits to Bliz from Oakley. In future maintaining the more premium feel of the the Oakley stand across to Bliz would likely make it feel like a more coherent link between the brands for customers.
